Open ceremony of Sun Chlorella Asia Cross Country Rally 2019!

The 24th FIA-approved international rally "Sun Chlorella Asia Cross Country Rally" has begun at Pattaya Beach Resort in Thailand.

The ceremonial start took place in the middle of the walking street illuminated by seven colors of neon. Colorful rally machines and motorcycles arrived at a special stage was being set up in the middle of the city that never sleeps with bars and cafes around and loud music resonates. With a large crowd of tourists from all over the world, a ceremony of joy and enthusiasm began with Mayor opening ceremony speech.

About 12 hours before this ceremony, at the official hotel, automobile and motorcycle inspections were conducted from early morning, and distribution of a route book that elaborates next day’s course started after noon. The first official briefing is from 15:00, and all participating machines will gather next to the hotel around 18:00. Under the leadership of the police car, participating machines set out on a walking street with chaotic swirls.

This year's competition lasts for 7 days from August 10th to 16th. The trip length is 2,300km, aiming for a goal in the new capital Naypyitaw, crossing the Myanmar border on the fourth day.

It is the first time in 19 years since the fifth competition in Year 2000 that the Asian Cross-Country Rally crossed Myanmar. It was planned for several times but was difficult to be realized. This time, the “Cross Country Dream”, which has been long waited for many years, was realized by the stakeholders’ and the Myanmar government’s effort.

There are 35 motorcycles, 2 sidecars, and 34 automobiles. In addition, there are 3 units of “Adventure Challenge” that allows you to enjoy a special route to the goal without time measurements, adding up to a total of 74 units.

The number of competitor machines has increased by nearly 20 units from last year, and there are more than 70 vehicles with support services leading to the goal. Furthermore, adding all the related vehicles such as media cars and official cars, the total number of vehicles exceeds more than 180 units.

Counting by the number of passengers, it is estimated that almost 500 people are involved, this huge `` Larry Circus '' group goes northward, crosses the Thailand/ Myanmar border and heads to Naypyidaw. A powerful force can be imagined with such a big crowd.

Participants' car models and nationalities are getting more diverse. This year, entries were from 15 countries and regions, including motorcycles and automobiles. This year, despite the difficulties introducing all start patterns of all participating vehicles in this report, we would like to introduce by picking up players from each region in the starting order (in the ascending number order) The time measured competition starts tomorrow on the 11th.
