Second day, race near the Myanmar border, finishing back to the same hotel as the day before. This 198.95km is the shortest SS in this years event, with PC stop at 108.07 km, total of 287.88 km for the day.
first half of the race are in the thick jungle some 20km near the Myanmar border. Lots of deep hidden potholes ,rock climbing and river streams, variety of terrain with high grass covering the road, with the overnight rain, making going through the course just much more difficult.
Second half of the race, continue through rivers, villages and plantations, 50% - 60% are high speed section.
The hardest section in this SS, is at the first 29km section, steep hill with long hill climb, it would be impossible to climb without 4 x 4, if with rain, ranch will be needed in order to get out.
The weather has been nice and dry, marking the gravel road condition quite hard, and the riverbanks quite shallow to pass, on the mother nature side, should be quite good to navigate around for this LEG.
However, in the second half of the race around 168 km area, 4 wheels top group did not follow the "slow down" sign, speed through village scared the small children's, which in-turns anger the parents and villagers, which all came out to block the road, stoping the one coming racing participants stating the dangerous driving through their village was not part of the agreement! Demanding the organizer to change routes, which lead to cancellation for the rest of the participants.
The organizers at the 19:00 evening briefing, stated that the participants who are effected by the cancellation, will use the time locked at 15 km beginning of the "speed limit area", and base on that to list out the rankings.

Tomorrow LEG heading North, with hot dry open field, with harsh hard surface, surly will bring hardship to both the machines and the participants! Let the rally survival game begin!
